Our Story

Learn more about the patch

Welcome to Pumpkin Patch on Main- a fall tradition rooted in faith, community, and a whole lot of pumpkins! Now entering our third year, Pumpkin Patch on Main is a ministry of First United Methodist Church of Rowlett, created to give our community a place to slow down, make memories, and enjoy a little fall fun together. The entire pumpkin patch is run and managed by volunteers from our church, and every dollar of proceeds goes directly to support the ministries and mission of First Rowlett UMC.

This year brings something extra special: our very first hand-grown sorghum maze! Grown right here for the patch, the maze is ready to be explored, wandered through, and enjoyed by kids and adults alike. But the maze is just the beginning. Throughout the patch, you'll find photo opportunities featuring backdrops and decorations crafted by members of our congregation, along with interactive yard games, picnic areas, a story corner, and, of course, plenty of pumpkins to choose from. Not to mention you can meet our mascot "Jack"- a 15 foot tall pumpkin headed scarecrow who loves to greet guests and watches over our patch at night. Our wagons are ready to help you haul home the perfect pumpkins for your porch, front steps, or fall decorating.

What makes Pumpkin Patch on Main special isn't just what you'll find here-it's the people who make it happen. From growing the sorghum and building the photo backdrops to welcoming guests, tending the pumpkins, and keeping the patch running, this is a labor of love from our congregation to our community. So come wander the maze, play a game, take a few pictures, pick out some pumpkins, and make yourself at home. Pumpkin Patch on Main is a place for everyone and we're so glad you're here.
